Since I am trained in counselling and coaching, I can use aspects of both to help you explore any issues you want to bring to your sessions and then help you make a plan for positive change, if you wish. My counselling training was integrative, using different styles, which means we can use varied styles in our work together, always led by you and what you feel comfortable with. I work via Zoom, so all sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home without the need to travel. I can also offer email counselling, where we exchange detailed emails rather than talk in real time. This can be very freeing in discussing tricky or embarrassing subjects, and is also really helpful for people who find written word communication easier than speaking.
Neurodivergent people have often spent a long time in their lives trying to find professional help or support and being disappointed. As a queer autistic person myself, I use a combination of training and lived experience to find the best ways of supporting your aims. I am currently only able to support adults who are 18 or over.
I always work to the ethical standards required of me by my professional association, the ACCPH, and those of the BACP which provide a general and comprehensive standard for all counsellors. As part of those required standards, I have a regular counsellor's supervisor who oversees my work, and I always hold current professional liability insurance.
If you are interested in counselling with me, please email me at mailto:info@neuroreflections.co.uk or use the contact page and I can email, phone or text you (please specify which you would prefer) to arrange a free half-hour video-chat session via Zoom so you can decide if I am the right person for you. If you are interested in email counselling, we can keep all communication to email if you would prefer, or we can start with a videochat or phonecall. My fees are £40 per hour-long session for Zoom counselling, and £40 per email exchange (1 message from the client and 1 response from me) for email counselling.
